Advice letter to romeo 5/10/16

Dear Romeo

I have heard of all the trouble you've gotten  into lately. I am sorry for your loss with Mercutio and how you have been banished because you murdered Tybalt. It was the right move how you didn't  want to fight Tybalt because he was your  wife's cousin. I understand you did it for the sake of Juliet. After when Mercutio died you killed him, I understand.  I advise you in the future to slow down and not get so angry because in the past you got into a lot of trouble. Your lucky that your wife still loves because most people are angry towards you. I also advise you to visit Juliet because she misses you very much, and as a good husband, you should care for her and be with her for the sake of your marriage. all the best from your

Another Day 3/25/16

     
     Imagine this there is a Guy that you want to be with  but you have a boyfriend that treats you like garbage what would you do? you would break up with your current boyfriend and go with the guy that is better for you.
    In the book Another Day by David Levithan a big theme in the book is go for someone for who brings the best in you . In the book Rhianon the main character has to choose between A who changes body's every day and Justin who is Her boyfriend. Throughout the book Rhiannon has trouble because she wants to be with A but she cant break up with Justin, So She has to make a tough decision because Justin treats her not the best compared to A who treats her a lot better. However Rhiannon has been with Justin for more than a year now and she believes that he will treat her better because of the way he treated her in the past. The way A treats Rhiannon I think Rhiannon should pick A over Justin

In the book another day by David Levithan, David shows the theme  go for someone who brings the best in you. For example in the book  A was in the body of Justin they cut class and went to the beach they had the best time ever. However Rhiannon didn't know that it was really A in Justin's body and A is the one who treats Rhiannon  a lot better because if A wasn't in her body then Justin wouldn't have cut class and go to the beach. So really It was A who cared for Rhiannon. Another reason why Rhiannon Should pick A over Justin because she needs to pick someone who is the best for her. For example in the book A tries to see Rhiannon every day no matter where he is he tries to visit her. Compared to Justin who doesn't care for what she does. That shows that A actually cares about Rhiannon compared to Justin who doesn't really care about her as much as A does.  The last reason why A is better for Rhiannon then Justin is because they both are similar to each other. For example, they went to a party and they were talking about the music they like they started dancing with each other and they had one of the best nights of their life. For Justin, he hates    a lot of things he makes fun of things  compared to A he doesn't hate, he admires things.  These things relate to people because people do whatever they can to bring the best in them so they go with people who bring the best in them.

All in All this story shows a good message of how to go with the person that brings the best in you. People should read this book to see the right decision and the true love that goes on in this story. This matters to people because it shows the right decision making and how to do what is right for you. I can connect with this book because I make decisions that affect me in a good way like school after school instead of going into the park I ask for help with assignments. Overall this book shows that do what is right for you.

         Imagine this: you're walking down the street and someone gets shot ,  you are right next to the dead person  and later people frame you for the killing . so you go to prison for life. In the series "Escape from Furnace" byAlexander Gordon Smith, the author uses power and resistance to make up the series. In the series, this plot is about a boy getting framed for murder and going to live in a terrible prison deep in the ground, and eventually escapes  but then gets caught with worse and worse things happening to him.With the timing going on In the story the author uses power for some parts of the story and uses resistance for some part of the story, right after the other. 

             In the story power is a big role   throughout the story for example in the beginning of the series in the first book from pages  34-48 Alex the main character  gets framed for something he didn't, do and that was murder. This shows power and resistance because Alex, the main character was being framed he didn't try to fight back as much.   he was resisting  and everyone else had power over him and his voice was small compared to everyone else. Another example of how there are   Power and resistance is, in the story On page 78-86 Alex and his inmates are being assigned job, unlike most inmates who fight back, Alex just does what he's told. knowing that he has no power over the prison guards so he resists and the guards take power. This shows power and resistance because Unlike the inmates Alex doesn't fight back he does what he is forced to do.  and for power, The guards tell him what to do making him feel insecure and powerless. The last example of how there are power and resistance throughout the story is When the warden ( the master of the prison) try to control Alex, he fights back however afterward he gives up. giving himself to the warden and this shows power and resistance. This shows Power because Alex tries to fight back but doesn't succeed, and this shows resistance because Alex gave up. These  Words relate to reality because like kids and parents there is power and resistance. Like with chores, work and playing video games. The parents have most of the power. 

        All in all This series has a pattern of Power and Resistance. People should read the book to see the power and resistance going on in the series and the great adventure That Alex faces. This series matters because It shows the power and resistance throughout the story like the power and resistance that goes on throughout people's lives. This book connects with my life because In my life my power is small compared to my parents and when my parents tell me to do stuff iI like I don't fight back I resist. Just like Alex. Overall this book shows how There are power and resistance moments all over the series, And we can relate to Alex but not in a prison kind of way. 

Everyday by David Levithan

             Imagine this: Every day you wake up in a new body, but only for one day for the rest of your life how would that feel for you? In the book everyday by David Levithan. In the book everyday A the main character changes into a body every day, and one of those days A finds a girl that he falls in love with,  they went to the beach and had a great time he was in the body of Rihanon's boyfriend named Justin. after being in Justin's body he kept on seeing her and meeting her not knowing who he was and after A explained everything to Rihanon and she believed him but Rihanon was not going to be together with A Because  she was Justin. As the days went bye Rihanon started liking A.  In this story the author shows a message don't give up  And clearly A shows that in the story.

        In the story A shows a message don't give up. For example In the story A states "i will not stop until you love me" this shows that he will not give up because he knows he has to be with Rihanon. this also shows that it might be really tough for A to get Rihanon's love but he wont stop. this relates to people because people don't give up at times when they need to do something just like A.
Another reason how A shows the message never give up is in the book he was 4 hours away from Rihanon so he skipped school in that persons body to drive 4 hours just to see Rihanon this shows that he wont give up because he drove 4 hours just to see her he wont stop no matter the distance.
the last reason how A shows the message don't give up is in the story Rihanon says to A "i don't think we should do this any more you are always in a different body how are we suppose to to be together"
this shows that A could be disappointed and sad but that is not the case for A he just toughens up and visits Rihanon again and Again until she realizes who she should really be with.

All in All this story shows a good message of how not to give up and just to keep on trying. people should read the book to see the not giving up and accomplishing  what must be done. this really matters because people need to learn tot to give up. I can connect with this book for example with grades I need to work really hard and one terrible  grade should not put me down and it didn't I just kept on fighting for my grades. Overall this book shows Not to give up you should read it because you can connect to it and you feel the emotions an feelings of the characters.

The Fifth Wave By Rick Yancey 11/6/2015 By Roni Gil

Imagine this: you are walking with your family and having fun and all you see is a alien spaceship
trying to end the human race. You don't know what to do. In the story the fifth wave by Rick Yancey
Characters struggle for survival because aliens try to end the human race, and after a few months the human race turns from billions to thousands in just a few months. when the time passes and the more people dying Cassie the sixteen year old main character, Sammy the five year old brother and there dad start to get frustrated and stressed out because all the struggles their facing.

       In the book the book The Fifth Wave the main characters in The story feel frustrated and stressed out because of all the struggles they are facing. for example on page 102 Sammy Cassie little brother has been taken away for safety when that was happening Cassie and Sammy were crying because they wanted to stick together. This shows me that they are frustrated and nervous because they don't know if the soldiers that are taking Sammy to safety will guarantee the safety and they were scared and frustrated because they don't know what will happen. This also relates to people because people gwt frustrated with trust and that is a big thing. Another reason of how the characters feel stressed out and frustrated is because on page 84 Cassie and her dad were burring their their mother and they started to cry this shows me that they were frustrated because their mother had just passed away  and that it really hard to get over. This also relates to people because people lose their loved ones.
The last reason of how these characters are feeling stressed out and frustrated is for example on page 58 Cassie was in the woods and trying to get supplies however she had to kill someone for it and she started to cry. This shows that she is stressed out because she has never killed someone before and that is a big thing.

All in All  this claim matters to me because people can relate to this book feeling wise because it shows the frustration and stresses people face.  The fifth wave characters have frustration like i do but i get frustrated with school they get frustrated with survival. it is important to find books like these so you can relate to the characters feeling wise.

   Imagine this:  You  and your friends are walking and shopping, in a mall and then all of a sudden you become quarantined. Your trapped in and you cant escape,how do you feel. In the story No Safety by Dayna Lorentz Teenagers struggle in a mall because of  quarantine . furthermore  as the days and hours pass, their emotions they start to feel insecure and enraged because they have been stuck in a mall for sometime. This book relates to teens lives because of the tough parts of life like relationships and family.
    In the book no Safety the main characters struggle in a mall and once more feel enraged and insecure. For example in the book when the days past one of the main characters named shay had said "I cant do this any more i want to get out of here" Pg(202) this shows me that shay is feeling overwhelmed and under a lot of pressure because when shay said that the tone wasn't in a good way.
Another way of how teenagers relate to No Safety is that people have bad luck, and loose relation ships.  for example In page 196 lexi and shay had gotten into a fight because in the story they are quarantined, for a long time.  The last way of how teenagers Relate to the book is in the story on Pg(204) Lexi one of the main characters had said how long till we get out of here? This shows me that she is having enough with this, this this relates to teens because Lexi is under stress like some teens.
         All in All this claim matters because when teens read this book they can relate to this book. This book also connects with me because I have stress a lot over many things like school. The  No Safety characters also have stress like I do Nevertheless this book is healthy for teens so as relatable. It is important to find books like this because it can prevent being overwhelmed and enraged.

Introduction to me as a reader

My name is Roni Gil I am an 8th grader at MS.51. I am not a big fan of reading, but if I read I am a fan of sports and adventure books. The sports that I like is soccer and football. My favorite place to read is either on my porch or on my bed, really I like to read in the calmest place of my house. currently i am reading a sports book that is called payback time by Carl Deuker. Over the summer I read books about natural disasters like wave and ashen winter those books make me think about how hard life can get. Overall I am not a big fan of reading but hopefully I can became a book lover.
